My husband began seeing Dr. Lin when he was at the U of A. During that time we were very happy with both Dr. Lin and related staff. He had great medical assistants that were very efficient and we were able to communicate quickly. Then came our first visit to the Oro Valley office--total nightmare. I have never been to a medical office where the experience was worse. There was a mix up in Dr. Lin being credentialed with our insurance and we were treated like criminals. Will never return.
I found Dr Lin to be a very kind, competent gastro. He performed a colonoscopy and two separate endoscopies on me. I did have problems getting follow-up results, prescriptions, and other info. I have no idea why, but many offices in the Northwest Allied system have communication problems. It can take days to get past the office staff to handle a prescription problem or even schedule an appointment.
His incompetence in diagnosing a volvulous caused a section of sigmoid colon to become netcrotic and left a mess for a competent surgeon to remove that section and leave a temporary colostomy behind for three months.
Dr. Lin is very professional and to the point. I really liked that about him. He'll answer any question or concern you have in a concise professional manner. He's quick & effecient. I appreciated his simple & to the point approach during a time when I was worried. He's not there to be your best friend, he's there to be your doctor & figure out the best way to find out what's going on with your health. Period. I appreciated that.
My 1st encounter with this doctor was Inpatient and instead of investigating my case better he told me I was abusing pain medicine. After several CT scans the doctors made a diagnosis of volvulus and I required a temporary colostomy.
I strongly advise to seek another GI specialist. In my opinion he was not a good GI physician. He seemed to me more interested in doing lucrative procedures, tests, and IV infusion therapy. He was extremely difficult to get a hold of. I really advise for your sake to look elsewhere for a GI specialist.
First 10 minute visit 438.00 and 10 page or more questionair. Never had a specialist so overpriced.
