There are protocols that must be followed when switching doctors as well as continuing or starting a prescribed medication while doing so. Insurance and PATIENT COMPLIANCE play a large part in that process. It cannot be expected to continue or start a new medication with a new doctor without insurance authorization and abiding by the correct standard of care. Was very pleased with Dr Lin, he took the time to listen, and advise me on how to manage my condition.
There is something wrong with "Lori", the Dr's assistant. I asked her to help me get papers signed to continue my Humira treatments (that's right, continue). She tells me she won't help without a prior authorization. And that I must jump through her hoops to get this done. Bottom line is she is not willing to help with - again, existing medication. I did not have to wait too long for Dr. Lin to see me. Dr. Lin answered my questions in a professional manner. People in the office are very friendly.
I was very impressed with all the staff and Dr. Lin was very thorough with his exam and took quick action to arrange multiple tests right away to get some answers of what is causing my continuous stomach pain.
I had Dr Lin and Lori his MA prior a couple years back but decided to get a new GI. I found they both were not compassionate. Lori was always out of the office all the time (she wasn’t friendly to me at all and I felt scared to call to get her she didn’t seem like she wanted to help) and Dr Lin never asked how I felt about anything. He would demand I start medication and doing so in a manner that made me feel as though he thought I was uneducated. Dr. Lin is an excellent gastroenterologist. He is up to date with all the clinical studies pertaining to GI problems. He answered all my questions and concerns.
First appointment. Efficient, on-time, and detailed. He explained a lot to me. Office staff was excellent. Overall great experience.
