Dr. Drakos and his Team are exceptional. They are thorough, caring, and very communicative. My broken ankle was operated on at Hospital for Special Surgery, an excellent hospital in New York City. The follow-up was complete. The whole "Drakos Team" are a pleasure.

Uncaring, poor diagnostician, cold, rushed... Refused to review imaging with me that clearly showed problems with my foot and ankle and which were evident in clinical exam. Wrote a report that was incomplete and lacked evidence of my actual injuries and falls. Clearly picks and chooses cases that will lead only to successful easy outcomes. Suggested treatments but provided no guidance with referrals and a plan of care. He's a cold fish in a dated suit working in a terrific hospital.

After finding out that my podiatrist botched my last foot surgery and never told me about it, I sought out a handful of orthopedists for help, most of whom were scared to perform surgery on my toe, or told me to just amputate it to stop the pain. Finally came across Dr drakos and he was able to place a synthetic joint implant into my pinky toe, and I am now walking around pain free! He truly helped me to get my life back and walk and finally be at work without crying in pain. Excellent surgeon!

Dr Dracos misdiagnosed my problem from the start, which led me to have an expensive, painful, unnecessary surgery from which I spent almost a year recovering. Eventually another surgeon identified the true cause of my ankle pain and now I likely need to have another surgery to fix the actual problem. My entire experience with Dr Dracos was appalling- when my ankle did not improve post-surgery he just started making up reasons why it wasn’t better, none of which made any sense.

Dr. Drakos has been treating me since I broke both heel bones while being hit by an automobile crossing the street. He has always been generous with his time explaining things to me, has a great patient manner, and is extremely knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent doctor and surgeon! In addition, everyone in his office has been extremely pleasant to deal with every time I've been there wherever in the hospital I've gone.

Phenomenal experience, staff was professional and friendly. My condition was explained by Dr Drakos thoroughly. My appointment, X-Ray, MRI and results for the MRI were completed in one visit.

Look no further than Dr Drakos & HSS. He performed surgery on my trimalleolar ankle fracture and everything went well. Explained everything carefully and gave me a great sense of comfort. Never rushes you during office visits. His PA Nicole is tremendous as well and they return all calls promptly whenever you have a question.

I met with Dr Drakos today for a second opinion regrading my ankle...I was seen within 15 minutes and Dr. Drakos spent at least 30 minutes with me...his second opinion was exceptional he explained what he would do in order that I may continue to run marathons. ..although it was painful to hear what he intends to do.he seemed as he knew exactly how to handle the procedure with my best interest at hand ..he was also very kind, i drove 80 miles for the consult and it was worth it to me...
