I highly recommend Dr. Drakos and his staff. Dr. Drakos always gives you plenty of time in the office to discuss your situation. His staff is super supportive of his patients. I did have an issue with my cast but the staff was nothing but concerned and respectful of my feelings. They were very accommodating in fixing the situation with the utmost care. Laura, Marta, Nicole, Sharon and Raeann were all extremely instrumental in making my re-cast a super pleasant experience. My thanks to HSS.

Amazing dr had surgery on Tuesday I feel amazing no pain meds and not a ounce of pain I highly recommend this dr

Dr. Drakos is extremely knowledgeable and professional. His diagnosis is on point and he thoroughly discusses all possible options along with its pros and cons. I personally think that he is one of the best in his field. I sustained 3 different injuries and I have had several encounters where I had to consult with Dr. Drakos and he has never failed. I would recommend him without a doubt! wonderful he is. He is phenomenal and simply the BEST!

HE JUST DIAGNOSED ME IN 5 MINUTES WITH NERVE PAIN AND HAD A PREPRINTED PERSCRIPTION PAD. He doesn't understand not all patients can put their lives on hold for drugs like ketamine and other muscle relaxers he pushes in these preset options. HORRIBLE AND MISDIAGNOSED ME MAKING ME WASTE TIME AND MONEY FINDING ANOTHER OPINION.

I was experiencing chronic pain in my left ankle which made my life worse by the day. Being a New Yorker, I am constantly on my feet and it was becoming unbearable. I made an appointment to go see Dr. Drakos who was highly recommended due to his knowledge and surgical expertise of the ankle and foot. To my surprise the doctor will not see me. The woman that answered the phone did an intake- asking me questions about dates of surgeries but I wasn't even asked how I broke my foot in the first place-I never had the opportunity to explain how it hurts-where it hurts. I explained what other doctors have told me but , I have little faith in what their diagnosis is, which is why I was seeking another opinion. They asked for no films or MRI and ct scan reports. He clearly picks and chooses patients

After I was diagnosed with a torn meniscus, Dr. Drakos performed my surgery at HSS. Surgery went excellent! He is just an amazing doctor, answered all my questions, very thorough and straight forward. All the staff that works with him is just excellent, always caring and following up in every appointment I've had. He works with the best and all he would recommend you will be for your best. Totally recommend him!

To be clear, by rating Dr. Drakos you are really rating his Physician Assistant since you have to get past her first to see him. I have gone to "him" 3 times and never even met the guy. This practice should be illegal. The Physician Assistant is not a doctor and does not come close to being one. I could've given myself much more accurate advice. HSS should counsel him on this behavior. I am strongly considering alerting the AMA of this issue.
