Great color! – I visited Ashley at Marianne on Chestnut St. and had a great experience. She was friendly, patient, knowledgeable and gave good advice. She suggested we move toward the color I wanted in stages - color, dry it, check to see if it's what I want, and then decide what's next. The great thing about color here is that you can pay per highlight. If you don't want partial/full and want just a few pieces here and there, they'll accomodate with the pricing. best color ever – I have been to every salon in the chicago area. Lizz at Marianne Strokirk is BY FAR the BEST!! She understands color and what will look good on you. I cannot count how many times I have left a salon feeling as though my hair was not colored at all, or that my hair color was a little....off. Marianne Strokirk colorists are not only perfectionists, but more importantly CONSISTANT!!!!

Awesome Haircut - Best in the City – As someone who has struggled for decades to get a good haircut, finding this salon - and in particular my stylist Sandy - was hitting the hair lottery! Best Haircut EVER – I have been going to the Marianne Strokirk salon for about 6 years now. I have had Jodi as a stylist since my first appointment. She amazing and has consistently given me beautiful cuts. I am constantly complimented on the precision of the cut and it is so good that I actually go less frequently because the cut lasts so long. It's definitely worth it.
best stylist, best short haircut! – I got the best short hair cut of my life!!!!!!!!!! i was recommed to this cute stylist named (Lisette )by one of my friends who swore i would love this girl. she is a master in short hair! she works your hair like a piece of art work! my whole life i could never find someone who understood my hair like she did. i highly recommend this stylist to whom ever wants total perfection!
Worst hair style in years – I went to this salon after spending a considerable amount of time on the phone determining which stylist would be right for me. Jodi was the one who came highly recommended. When I arrived at the salon I was very disappointed in the warehouse look of the place especially the poor lighting--extremely glaring. Best haircut ever – What can I say about the place. I love it. My stylist retired after 25 years of service. Bad attitude – I went to this large, impersonal salon regularly before getting fed up with the attitude. My senior colorist was aggressive on more than one occasion about selling me service I didn't want, and told me he's "fired" clients who weren't compliant. When I switched to another colorist at the salon to avoid him, he hassled me about it. Don't pay these prices to be bullied--it was easy for me to find another salon with a more relaxed, pleasant, and professional attitude.
