My father owned a business for many years on Morris street and I worked with him every summer for a decade as a child. Every so often he would treat me to lunch at Mann's grille and let me tell you: dive diners are where it's at. Sure the place was dilapidated and simple even then but the taste, prices, and quantity of the food make up for any lack of so called "atmosphere". Been going there since I was a kid, I am now 36 years old. Food is delicious and great big portion size. Inexpensive for what all u get! I totally recommend the turkey manhatten!!! The only thing that has changed is now they have crappy service/waitress's!!! But now a days what eating place has GREAT service ? NONE And with take out you get even larger portions! Love Manns Grille! Disregard outside appearance Ang you will get the greatest and biggest homemade meal ever!!!:)
I loved mann grills hweva on my last visit I was treatd disrespect & the waiter was very RUDE . My boyfriend & I decided to go at 5:30 am & sit dwn for breakfast. we were thee ONLY black ppl in there & I guess thet were out of menus. So the waitress took the time out to pass up about four others customers yo come ask us if we were dne w / the menus even tho she had just seen us sit dwn. A diamond in the rough! Was in town visiting a friend and we went there to eat. Was very pleased by the large portions and the reasonable cost. As earlier reviews have stated, this is a typical working man's breakfast and lunch place, but no matter where you are in the area its's worth the trip to Mann's! And I have it saved on my GPS as a favorite because I will be back!
not what it use to be – i have ate at manns for a long time the food has changed its not the home cooked meal it use to be. i got sick after i ate there and had the runs. the cooks that use to be there were the best now they have guys in there that dont know what they are doing most of the time. i wait forever for my steak then it isnt even cooked right it was way over done. i sent it back and the guy said its done i have been cooking for twenty years, ya right. if they ever get that girl grill cook back it will be a great s... read more
