My father passed away Oct 21, 2014 at 6:10pm on the 5th floor PCU unit. at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Our family cannot stop raving about the nurses who helped us in his last hours, we feel that they were truly angels sent to us that day. They were patient, caring and sympathetic. They went above and beyond thier normal duties to comfort us, they were like family. Thank you again.
The Cardiac Unit is absolutely top notch. (4 years ago) The ER is absolutely horrible (1 week ago) I will NEVER go there again and I will retract all the kudos I have given in the last 4 tears. I presented with excruciating pain in my knee, could not walk. I spent almost 4 hours while they ran tests for MY HEART..... I told them .dont be concerned about the swelling in my foot, I have an appointment in 3 days with my cardiologist......I am here for the pain in my knee. 4 hrs and $2200.00 later they give me a prescription for... read more

Excellent caring doctors and nurses but weekends are such a setback to patients since there is no therapy staff and if testing is needed "sorry the ***** dept. isn't available til Monday"
They need to concentrate on drunk testing their employees more often I know one of their employees is a meth head and more worried about picking up guys their . ya cause that's what I'd like helping me. Sad excuse for a Hospital.

The staff at this hospital, emergency workers and the nurses on the 2nd floor, north tower, are amazing. They took excellant care of my 90 year old father when we brought him in with chest pains on tuesday. Yes, we did have to wait a few hours for a bed after he was checked in, but at all times he and my sister and I were treated with respect and kindness. Thank you.
