I went to Maman for an afternoon snack and beverage. The smell of freshly baked goods greets you as you walk into the restaurant. The staff were all kind and most had french accents. I ordered the lavender hot chocolate and the cookie which advertised was Oprah's favorite. The cookie was stellar! Incredibly gooey, chocolatey and indulgent. The hot chocolate I found was not as rich in flavour as I was hoping, however overall, I would return.
I visited this place in Montreal during COVID, and it was amazing back then — the breakfasts, the coffee, the baked goods, everything was perfect. So I decided to try their Toronto location, and I think it’s popular mostly because it’s in an office area. Everyone comes for their morning coffee, so the line was pretty long (I arrived right when offices were opening).
