Secret Sushi Store – This is the BEST place to eat sushi in PHILADELPHIA. There is no reason to go to all the other high priced center city restaurants (pod, morimoto) when you can get the same, if not better quality food here for a fraction of the cost at other places. The fish is ALWAYS fresh at maki man - they even smoke their own salmon!! The menu has many choices so even if one is not a sushi lover there would be plenty for you to eat. Great sushi, great value! – I absolutely adore this restaurant. The sushi is always fresh and the service is fabulous. I've been with several friends and they always enjoy their entrees (I'm HOOKED on their delicious maki). I would recommend this place again and again.
Sushi in the Northeast? – With the amazing dining rennaisance occuring downtown, it's good to see a little of it has branched out to the Northeast. Makiman is elegant and cozy with a very friendly staff. If you have a small party, be sure to sit at the bar. It's only about 6 seats, and the chef, a form sushi roller from the great "Morimoto" on Chestnut will answer all questions and loves to accomodate the, "Just surprise me." order. Great Sushi, Awesome Price, Highly Recommend – Tucked away in Fox Chase this restaurant is a real gem. I was hesitant to try it because of the idea of sushi but my husband talked me into it and I love it! They also offer a great selection of cooked food. Fresh – Best Sushi restaurant in the northeast. I could have saved alot of money on gas and parking, why go to center city. Very different types of makis that I have never seen any where. Great staff, it's alway been fresh, now they have "$1 Sushi happy hours" How are they doing this with such high quality fresh ingredients? Highly, highly, recomended
