The staff there are horrible. Treating someone who fell through a rotting floor like they harmed themselves leaving a gaping hole it their calf as self-harm. Why would someone do that to themselves? this person would not do this. terrible patient care and bedside manners by the doctor.

I went to the E.R. last. night the medical staff was terrible. From the nurses to the doctor. They put me in a dirty exam room. wasn't given a gown to change in . I was there for a sore throat and back pain. They barely opened there mouths to talk.. they took a sample from my throat. the doctor touched my back but never sent me to get an exam. They gave me 2 Tylenol and 1 antibiotic pill then released. me.. They released a patient whos blood pressure was extremely high my BP was 183/120 when I checked in but was higher when ... read more

My dad was in terrible four wheeler accident and while in the emergency room a nurse said she was unable to help him go because she was a female and he just had to wait because all the male nurses were too busy. So with 7 broken ribs and a broken arm I tried my best to help my dad use the restroom. I didn't know nurses had the choice of choosing who to help. I'm definitely spreading the word on my experience.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL. When I got my gallbladder out I was in at 8 and out by 11. That was two years ago. Piedmont clearly has no idea what they are doing. We waited two hours to get to a pre op room. From there it was at a minimum an hour. The doc kept calling them because they didn’t even have an IV in him yet. It was ridiculous. Then he finally goes to surgery. The surgery takes 30 minutes and and three hours later I haven’t even seen him. I have been here 7 hours and finally they tell me that they will ... read more

I would not be here today were it not for the wonderful staff of Piedmont Athens Regional. The emergency room staff; nurses; physicians; physicians assistants; surgeons; surgeons assistants; and cardiac rehab staff were absolutely wonderful to help me after double bypass heart surgery earlier this year. For those of you who are given a second chance, don't waste it...

This is the worst hospital in the world....been sitting here 2hours with breathing complications....people that came after me are being seen before me...while I'm sitting here...hardly breathing!!! Don't bring your loved ones here!!!

#Athensregionalhospital Worst service ever went in for one things and they messed my arm up with giving me fluids and IV WAS NOT IN MY VEIN!!!! fluid underneath the skin the hurried up released me and made me walk 1.1 mile home said they had no transportation for those without Medicaid or Medicare I was seen for palpitations and racing heartbeat. We usually have no issue with Athens Regional however this time we were in the ER and couldn’t get a nurse to help us. We requested a drink for the patient which we finally got from a Dr. Pain meds still hadn’t been brought after an hour. We buzzed the nurses station because the patient ( an 85 yr old ) with the yellow.. I’m a fall risk tag needed to use the rest room. She was also attached to monitors.
