Mai Kungkran (now Meyers) grew up in a suburb of Bangkok, Thailand, and attended school at a local Buddhist temple. While living near Bangkok, Mai learned traditional, "home style" Thai cooking from her father. At the age of 18, Mai married an American Soldier and moved to the United States. Mai struggled through learning American ways and the English language but was fortunate enough to have assistance through local community services in Louisville. This was my first time having Thai food and I really loved it, I wish I had stopped in sooner. It's a smaller, one room building with a wheelchair ramp out front so it is accessible and low lighting which I like. The wait staff were really friendly and helpful and the food arrived quickly. I will definitely be returning.

One of Jeffersonville's best kept secrets! Mai is an institution in Jeffersonville! This is authentic Thai cuisine. Many vegetarian selections. The Pad Thai and the curries are wonderful!
