I don’t like the fact this hospital uses student doctors. I had my twins there 2 yrs ago. I never saw a consistent dr all the drs I saw was RESIDENT DRS. When it was time to have my twins I instructed staff multiple times I DONT WANT NO STUDENT DR WORKING ON ME. A student dr under the supervision of a real dr delivered my twins and I hemorrhaged. The nurses are amazing. I was just in the ER and while I was there one of the nurses got me a cold wet wash cloth for my head. It's just the little things that make your stay a little bit better. The doctors were also amazing. They take the time to listen to you and are actually concerned. Thank you for the wonderful care!!
I am so thankful magee they not only saved my life but my daughter's as well .. they are truly amazing ... they do so much for the babies there .. in my eyes it's the best hospital I have ever been to

Had 2 operations here. The first one left me with lower back issues for the rest of my life. Spinal block gone wrong. DONE BY A STUDENT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE! This latest one from a hysterectomy with the da Vinci robot, has cause me to go to the ER 3 different times in 18 days. Literally had to go to Ohio to get me on much needed antibiotics for an infection and correct pain meds that Upmc said I SHOULDN'T NEED after a major surgery. come on!!! Stay AWAY!!!!! 2.5 years ago, I would have given this hospital a 5 star rating. After the recent birth and subsequent NICU stay of my twins starting in November, I would waiver between a 1 and 2 star rating. Something has changed drastically in the character of the staff for the worse. I am incredibly disappointed in the care that I and my girls received this time around. the icu nurses are amazing, the nurses on the 5th floor are awesome. and all of the doctors and specialists were the best. I highly recommend it!
I will drive to Cleveland Clinic from now on and pay fully out-of-pocket, and never set foot in a UPMC-affiliated joke of an institution ever again.
