Sandra is amazing. Excellent service and willing to deal with my gringo Spanish. All the ladies here speak perfect English but I like to practice when I can. Some of the best Mexican and Peruvian food I'm done. Wild a place with this quality exists in Indianapolis. Getting the Carnitas Torta with the Guacomole instead of the sliced avocado is a pro move (Thanks Sandra). The Ciabatta is to die for here. Macizo is fantastic, and if you're reading this, take it as a sign and go. Everything we ordered was delicious and we were treated well. Indy doesn't have many places with their level of authenticity + creativity + quality, so we hope they stay open for a long time. The only negative reviews complain about service or the menu. My advice is to 1) look at the menu beforehand and research if you're not familiar, and 2) savor what comes out of that kitchen, because after all, you're there to eat. The food will speak for itself.
Macizo is such a unique and special spot, and will undoubtedly grow to become a bigger and greater restaurant as more people come to find out about it. The owners are passionate, thoughtful, and kind - which shows in the quality of their service and the excellence of the food. If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d urge you to go and something.
