Lori has spewed some very racist words toward black women and people of color. I would never refer clients here or anywhere she is employed. Her racist views and her ignorant defense of them are why black birthing people are dying. Her harmful views are literally harming black and brown people.
This location employs a midwife by the name of Lori who is racist and has been discriminatory toward other midwifes when faced with that racism. I do not recommend birthing here and hope that swift action is taken to remove her.
Unfortunately you have a racist midwife working for you by the name of Lori Bertolini. She has made some egregious comments on social media calling Black women unintelligible and dismissing and laughing about historically systemic racism Black people and other people of color have endured. She should not be serving a diverse community of birthing people. As a midwife myself and mother of three I know how detrimental it is to have this sort if person serving diverse populations in the sacred art of midwifery.
This facility employs a racist who is a danger to women of color. The views she has expressed this evening are not only sad but quite alarming. As a birth worker I cannot recommend this facilty and hope changes are made swiftly

Lori Berrtolini told me she must stick up for white midwives at all cost and that we as black people need to stopped being oppressed . She said we should stop waiting for reparations and get up and work 😭. Wow. This clinic must be solely for people who aren’t black and brown because I can imagine ,being a black woman, coming to this clinic for a person like that to be licensed and allowed to care for me and deliver my child . Is this what this clinic represents?
Lori Bertolini is a midwife at this practice. She has made several racist comments and social media posts. She has told black women to “Stop hating privilege and become privileged.” She has also bragged about this practice being made up of only white midwives. I would not do business here until an investigation is done that results in her dismissal. This midwife has been reported to the board for racism and discrimination and her actions have been shared with the press.
