Great new look! – Cecilie has been cutting my hair at Luna for the past several months, and I'm very happy with her work. As a middle-aged man, I'm always concerned that the cut should look stylish but still be age-appropriate for me. i get my hair done at luna, and everyone is awesome! i bounce around to pretty much everyone, and i havent been dissapointed yet. i have extremely dark hair(almost black) and i get it platinum blonde. i know it is difficult (and i can be too) but i LOVE it. i also have very coarse hair which in the past has seen some awful haircuts, it really requires alot of time to do it and i always recieve the utmost care and attention to detail. luna is spectacular!!! as long as i live in philly they're stuck with me <3<3<3
Hair bleeds at the root but no interest/urgency from Luna Salon to fix it – Recently I went to have my hair highlighted by Cecliy at Luna Salon. It was my first visit to the salon. I asked for blond highlights but keeping my natural brown base ? so no single process. By the end of the visit my hair was orangy and brassy (no more brown) --I had light roots and darker streaks in some places. Good but inconsistent – Had a great cut my first time there; a so-so cut the second time; and an absolute-hate-it cut the third time I went there. All done by the same stylist. The last time I was there, I was seen 35 minutes late; no apology nor the mention of it; snotty attitude; bitchy comments made to a fellow stylist- in front of other custmers about a customer seen previously. Highly recommended! – Recently visited Luna for the first time. Needed a single process. Based on the reviews here, I made an appt. with Mae and was not disappointed. She was friendly and the color looks great. She took interest in my thick, difficult hair and offered to thin my hair. And she didn't charge me! Wow. I will never go back to Pierre and Carlo. The salon is relaxed and the stylists are friendly.
Don't go to get bangs trimmed – I was a regular customer at Luna up until now. Between haircuts, I would go in for monthly trimmings of my bangs. In the beginning, the salon didn't charge me; they were complimentary. Last time, however, I was informed that "my complimentary trims were up" and it would cost $15. To me, $15 is way too much to pay for a few snips -- especially for someone who buys products, special treatments, and haircuts there on a regular basis. The Salon Love of my Life – I love, love, love Luna Salon. This statement should not be taken lightly. I once lived in a part of the States where it was impossible to find an acceptable salon, and thus, I resorted to cutting my own hair before letting someone else do it. LUNA IS THE BEST! – My boyfriend and I travel over 40 miles to get our hair cut at Luna. I won't let anyone else touch my hair. They are always on top of the latest trends and customize them for your look. I have never left unhappy and always receive tons of compliments. I would highly recommend this salon.
Good haircuts for not so much money – I really like this salon. Cecily always does a nice job with my hair, and that's saying a lot since I usually let her do what she wants with it.
