Scheduling difficulties were not due to uci, but because of assisted living facility.
It took me months to get into my primary care physician and then several more months to see the pulmonologist and then advised it would take weeks to get scheduled for a scan. I had ended up going to urgent care where a physician ordered a test because I continued to have substantial pain and had a scan that identified two problems. One was gastrointestinal and one was pulmonary. I ultimately went outside UCI to see a gastroenterologist because I couldn't get an appointment and waited for the pulmonologist. A brand New facility, it is very clean and quiet.

This provider did not seem to know anything about my son. This is the first time we saw him and we were transitioning from Chuck Pediatrics to adults and he didn't seem to know anything about my son. I don't even know if he had any previous records, so that was very disappointing.
I am now on two fewer medications as a result of my visits with Dr. Cheng. I also understand my condition far better than I have for twenty years. This places me in the position of being able to make better decisions regarding my health in the future. I highly recommend the UCI physicians at the Laguna Hills office.
