Housed in the location of the original Good Eats restaurant, Lucky's has made its mark in outstandingly good home cooking. The decor is simple, with red vinyl booths, movie memorabilia and functional tables and chairs. Three of the four walls are glass, so natural light is always abundant. Migas, biscuits and omelet breakfasts draw crowds, especially on weekends. Lunch and dinner entrees include everything from milkshakes to burgers, fish to vegetarian dishes, soups, salads and fruit and it's all wonderful.

For lunch today I ordered the deviled eggs for appetizer and shrimp and grits for my main dish. My deviled eggs looked like they had been in the refrigerator since Monday and my shrimp and grits tasted very bland with the exception of being drowned in butter. So disappointing that I paid $25 for lunch for just myself, really $30 after the tip. Wow!
Shout out to the server, dang wish I could recall your name, who convinced me to sample the roasted brussel sprouts. Very good indeed, this coming from a former brussel sprout hater!
I miss the old Lucky's. This used to be my favorite joint. No more.

Use to like eating here but since the last time I went everything changed. Menu, food, prices. And not for the better. Bland Food. Green specked gravy on top of Chicken Fried Steak that had no flavor and the consistency of thick paste. Undercooked Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Creamed Corn had a crunch like they just cut it off the cob and put it in bland watery cream sauce. Limited menu items and higher prices. This use to be a place that older customers could come to for a good home cooked meal at a reasonable price. No More!!!
Service was great! top notch, fun helpful staff. I just love it.
