December 31st 2005 was the last night for the popular and fun Pelican Club in Cape May. It was our landlord’s decision to turn that space into condominium units (a trend that is all too familiar on the east coast shore towns, but that is a whole different story), so we (the Pelican Club Family) had to move on. With a menu that can be found at many Cape May County establishments (with a couple of exceptions) well prepared food & good service are the strong points here.
We just had dinner there and the food never disappoints. I had the short rib dinner and my husband had the stuffed flounder. Everything was fantastic. Another great meal.
Wonderful dinner last night and service wonderful even though very busy...delicious shrimp/crab cakes and wine to warm a cold body.. staff wonderful and seats by the beautiful fireplace..awesome! Great evening with family after walk on Washington Street Mall!!�
One of my favorite Cape May restaurants. The food, service and atmosphere are always outstanding. The rocket salad is one of my favorites of any entree salad anywhere on the island - packed with delicious ingredients. The drinks are so gigantic, which I love because I tend to be thirsty and my glass is never empty.
