Went to buy carpet from them to install myself as i'm a local independent contractor. turns out they make you purchase the installation labor by calling it free but the markup on the carpet is ridiculously obvious. This is big business attempting to cut out independent contractors. lowes has lost my business for life.

In this day of disappearing customer service, there is Matthew at Lowe’s in Athens. I wanted to make a backdrop to use at school. Originally, I asked Mathew to cut the size pieces I needed. Before it was over, he cut the pieces, made the design better, and assembled it to make sure it was sturdy. Wow! Thank you, Matthew!!
We waited over thirty minutes and two pages to area for help. We left... no help and the work that was going around our isle when he seen us yes he looked, can breathe easier we are now gone. Thanks for nothing. Guess you can keep your stuff Lowe’s. 😳
This was the worst experience we have ever had at Lowes. We waited 20 minutes for assistance and finally left without what we needed. In this 20 minutes we went to the Customer Service desk twice, and were told that the person was covering 2 departments. With all the people working there, one would assume this person could get some backup.
huge shout out to the guys at Lowe's: Richard g and Ed. I went there looking for pieces of pvc to build a frame onto my daughters wheelchair stroller to make it into a flintstones car for her Halloween costume she's going to be pebbles. They not only found all the pieces I need but they cut them to size and assembled them around her wheelchair so now I only need to add the twine and fabric and paint it!! I've included photos of the inspiration piece and a photo of my daughter along with photos of them building it.
