since my introduction to L A Thai in the 70's at House of Chan Dara, i have experienced only 1 better place: cafe d'Thai in Reno. – i love the spicy beef salad, the red curries, the huge prawns, the steamed fish and the desserts. service is fine, price and value are both outstanding. i wonder if some of the mixed reviews stem from the several prior owners/chefs that did business in the same location. i love it!!
terrible – very dirty and food is not fresh the worst thai food i have ever had i will never go here again no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no! GO TO MCDONALDS BEFORE YOU GO HERE! HOW DO I GET THE AUTHORITIES TO RESEARCH THIS PLACE! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!
usually quite good but sometimes... – I've been to Lotus of Siam several times and generally its quite good. Not quite as spectacular as the reviews would make it out to be but definitely good food. However, I haven't found it to be consistent as there have been a few times when the food was downright horrible. Perhaps those are the nights when the head chef is on leave? The wine list is impressive but there have been times when I've requested a bottle and they have told me that they have sold out which leads me to believe t... read more
The Best Thai Food in the Country! – This is the first restaurant I am taking the time to write a review for. I usually dont either because I am too lazy or the food does not merit any more of my time. However, LoS leaves me with no option but to write this. I am somewhat of a foodie (usually on a budget) and extremely hard to please and very very opinionated when it comes to food (ask my wife!) but this is hands down the best Thai food (best food actually) in the US. We had been there for our anniversary last weekend and my... read more
Sooo Yummy – The food here is really good. One of the most authentic thai food. Service was real nice. Try the special menu.
looks may be decieving – this small family owned and run thai restaurant is set in a dingey plaza, but once you get past that you realize that the food is so outstanding and the value is phenomenal... besides having an extensive german reisling wine list, many notable celebs have dined here too, as the chef used to cater to the royal palace in thai land! a must try!!! we eat there at least once a month!
Authentic Thai dishes – I used to live in Las Vegas for a year. I was their frequent customer. They have great authentic Thai food. Their papaya salad is the best in the city. If you want to taste the real curry dishes or other spicy dishes, I would recommend to try this place out.
The best Thai food anywhere – Our highly anticipated return to this excellent Thai restaurant did not disappoint in the least. We started off with nam kao tod (sour sausage) - minced sour sausage mixed with green onion, fresh chili, ginger, peanut, crispy rice, herbs and lime juice incredible, my taste buds thought they died and went to heaven. We ordered level 8 on the heat scale which was not too bad. Our entrees were spicy jackfruit curry with chicken and fried catfish w/basil. We both felt the jackfruit (similar to artic... read more
Family-run eatery offers gourmet Thai food in the Commercial Center. – In Short Set amidst the karaoke bars and other Mexican and Asian eateries in the Commercial Center, the kitchen here is blazing with tasty Thai cuisine. A vast array of spices and ingredients--cilantro, fiery chilies, lime juice, lemon grass, Thai basil, curry, coconut cream--are combined with noodles, rice or fresh vegetables and a choice of meat or tofu to create authentic Thai dishes.
