Oh how I crave Lorenzo's – There's a lot of bad reviews about this place, but I know why that is. Probably most of the reviewers are from Philadelphia and have lived in Philadelphia their whole lives. Let me tell you why this is significant. I was born and raised in Philly, and was spoiled by delicious pizza from the NE to South Philly to Trenton. A couple of years ago, I moved to Chicago. Ever hear of "Chicago deep dish pizza?" It's HORRIBLE. You cannot get a decent slice of pizza here. The thin crust is awful too. Whenever... read more

Inconsistent – Sometimes it's great. Othertimes, it's marginal. A slightly doughier Brooklyn style slice for just $2... but I think most people like it because it's only $2, basically the cheapest lunch on an otherwise expensive tourist trap of a street.

The city's favorite late-night slice. – In Short White walls line the narrow space; a bank of ovens open and close their maws in tandem with diners. Outside, soiled and scattered white paper plates serve as a testament to the crowds. When you've just been swallowing buckets of brew or swaying to an act at the TLA, Lorenzo's giant slices are a godsend. Blackened, crisp crust holds the floppy thing together like a stroke of genius.

Worst pizza ever! – This is the worst pizza I have ever had. People only rave about it because it's open late at night. There is basically no sauce on the pizza and it has no flavor at all. The late night buzz won't even make this pizza taste good!

Fast, cheap, and delish! – If you're looking for impeccable sauces, unique toppings, and perfectly cooked dough, go elsewhere because you shouldn't be on South St. If you want way above average quality pizza for a mere buck and a half that will fill a grown man in 2 slices, Lorenzo's is the place. The pizza comes piping hot with some garlic and oregano to sprinkle on top. Don't bother looking for plastic wear, the tiny waiting/eating area should tell you that right off the bat. It's open til the wee hours of the night, so yo... read more

User review by ariadnetaige – This is the best pizza in Philadelphia, and is part of the entire South Street experience. After the bars close, however, there will be a long wait -- but that's part of the fun.

The biggest slice known to man kind! – This place is the most fab pizza place to go to late night....or even during the day! For only $2 bucks you can beat a slice that falls off of the (paper) plate. Seriously, they have the best pizza I have ever eatten..the service is a little "Pizza Natzi-ish" but other then that whooo cares, sooo good! You all must go there asap!

Philly Pizza – You gotta love this place! Although, there is no seating, why would you need a seat? Grab your slice and walk up South and see the wonders of late night S. Philly. Friends of mine that live out of state ALWAYS make a trip to Lorenzo's when they're in town. Whether your at the TLA catching a show, Fat Tuesday's watching the game or out for a night of drinking, more than likely at the end of the night you will be eating the biggest, juiciest, best tasting slice of pizza that Philly has to offer.

Best cheese pizza in Philly – Ok, the service is like Pat's & Geno's, only way to get a topping, (1 choice, pepperoni) you have to get a large or extra large pizza, & these pizzas are so big they have to cut it in 1/4's to fit in a box. It's a small place, no place to sit, only a small room in the back with mirrored walls & a counter, there's always a line, but while you're waiting, you get to watch them make the pizzas, an experience in itself. Whether you're sober or under the influence, you will most likely admit that it'... read more
