Horrible experience trying to do a reverse mortgage. No explanation of what income that could and not be included. They had all my financial information the first week and yet in week 3 they said my income was not high enough.There was a 3rd lien on my property and I asked for weeks who it was as I was only aware of 2 liens. Never did receive an answer so I called a local title ** and found out it was a lien that had been fulfilled over 10 years ago. It took me 1 day to get a satisfaction and have it recorded. I so appreciate all the time that Jeffrey *****put into our reverse mortgage refi. He knows the markets and prevailing economic fluctuations well, and helped us obtain the paperwork we needed. We were stymied in the end with all the sudden changes in interest rates and market uncertainty, but we don't blame him for that. We only wanted to find something to help us live a bit better in our retirement. Hopefully, things will rebound and our property will get a second chance. But we thank him for his courtesy and hard work.
We were lied to about our reverse mortgage. We went with them because the said they would honor our tax deferment. They did not.. they took $2500 of our money, paid taxes we didn't owe and the state will not refund the money. Were out $2500 because children are running the company. We have the emails where their saying they will honor it but didn't. We are suing.. Tony Diorio

I live in Florida where repaired sinkholes are common so the very first question I asked was whether FHA had any restrictions regarding repaired sinkhole properties. I was told "absolutely not." I then asked how long theagenr had been with the company and was told 16 years, so I felt comfortable proceeding. Both were lies. FHA WILL NOT insure a loan on repaired sinkhole properties without sinkhole insurance which NO insurance company in Florida will write. Ran into a few snags at the end. If I could I would give 5 plus stars to two wonderful ladies that got a weeks worth of problems taken care of in less than four hours. All and all I am mostly pleased with Longbridge.
After stringing me along for five months(!) I was declined forcing me into bankruptcy. Had they declined me sooner I could have pursued other options

My experience with Longbridge was good for the most part. It took longer than I was initially told. I began the process in mid June 2021 and the closing took place on Nov 24, 2021. At the closing, the attorney was apparently not attentive and the date on all the paperwork was wrong. As a result, I had to meet with him a second time to re-sign and re-date all the forms, This was extremely inconvenient for me as I was recovering from major surgery at the time. It was our desire to maintain the original loan balance by paying the monthly accrued interest and the monthly Mortgage Insurance Premium. When I contacted Longbridge Financial to complete the first two transactions, I was surprised to find that my request, though not common was very difficult for many of their associates.
