I could write a book about my experience with Logic Approach. I should just say, I feel like these guys screwed me over quite a bit. I took a sick computer there, told them the ethernet port was possibly bad. $75 dollars later they told me a windows reinstall was the real problem. I argued but they insisted that they checked everything else. I picked it up and reinstalled windows. Same problem. Called back, they said they would take another look at it. Took it back up there and yeah, they'll take another look at it, for $75.... read more

Worst customer service ever. – At one time, long ago, Logic Approach was the only place I shopped for parts, as I will go out of my way and knowingly pay extra at locally-owned businesses. There's just so far you can go, though. Every employee I've interacted with in the last 5 years has been indifferent at best. I went in when they were still on Lamar, about a year ago, needing a new dc jack on a laptop motherboard. I walked in and two employees were talking, I waited, they continued to talk, about nothing remotely work-rel... read more

Still the best – The guys at Logic Approach Computers have always been helpful to me and my family. We bought several computers and tons of parts there. When something does go wrong they have always been willing to make it right . I can't get that kind of service anywhere else. I send all of our business computers there for repair. Thanks guys - you rock!

Horrible experience – Never again, stay away from these guys. They have another store under a different name and they post identical glowing reviews for both of them. They don't seem to be able to get a good review based on their quality of service. If you want a good place to go, go to computer medic. They are super and cleaned up my logic approach mess. This place not only has terrible customer service but the computers they sell are also of terrible quality. I bought a laptop and right after I bought it but before trasnfe... read more

Always been there for me – I have been shopping at this local store for about 10 years. I must say that each time I come in I am greeted immediately and helped. This is unheard of for any tech retail store. I buy parts for my clients here as well as for myself. The store has been remodeled recently and looks great. They actually carry lots of stuff for a seemingly small space. You never know what you will find on sale, so I check often - lately they have had killer prices on Hard Drives - even beating Fry's (and that is hard... read more

Go to Fry's or Office Depot instead! – I bought a used DDR memory card only to get home and realize they had given me the wrong type. When I returned to the store to exchange the item, they did not have one in stock new or used. I asked for a refund and was told of a 20% "restocking fee". I complained stating that I had been sold the wrong item - how was it fair to charge me for their mistake? They would not concede at all. The boy behind the counter was smug and seemed indifferent to my dissatisfaction. I will not go back t... read more

An Austin treasure – One would be so lucky to find a computer store like this! It is a gem! We shop at Logic Approach all the time - we bought our computers here, our children's computers here and we recommend all of our friends. The employees are so eager to help and you can tell that they love what they are doing. A rare find. Thanks Logic Approach!

Very impressed! A+++++ – Called first and got a live person who could advise me after a few rings (compared to Dell where I waited on hold for 30 minutes). Brought my notebook in after 1yr-old splashed some lemonade on it. One of the Logic Approach techs had the computer diagnosed and fixed within 48 hours! On top of that I found many deals throughout the store!! I would recommend these guys to anyone who wants top notch service and a great value!

Business response:

I noticed that this review is almost word-for-word identical to a review on insiderpages for Mr. Notebook. Check it out and you will see what I mean. (I began by googling "computer repair Austin.) I think you have to take a lot of these reviews with a grain of salt because some of them are obvious plants, probably from the businesses themselves. Full disclosure: I'm in the biz myself and am just researching the competition, so I could be biased.
