This center is a non-profit facility and a great for place for education, preservation and monitoring of one of the world's most active sea turtle nesting grounds. The center acts as a school, providing internships, tours and programs. Plus the park's amenities include a guarded beach, nature trails and picnic areas, but the main attractions are the leatherback sea turtles.

We had a great experience! Watched a sea turtle released back into the ocean then toured the facility. Saw baby hatchlings and many turtles being rehabilitated. We got to peek into the hospital where they were caring for some newborns. Staff as friendly and helpful and informative! Great cause and mission.
These people do excellent work. If you are ever in the area stop by and see all the rescues that are being rehabbed for release. And make a donation today if you love turtles!
