Named after the barbecue capital of Texas, Lockhart's BBQ serves up what they call "Detroit-style" barbecue, pulling their favorite aspects of all the different great BBQ regions and combining them into one. The menu has all your BBQ favorites like ribs, smoked beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage and ham and more. Traditional sides include potato salad, cornbread, baked beans and coleslaw, among others. Lockhart's also features a good selection of local Michigan craft beers on tap.

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to. my opinion I think they're starting to slack on the quality of food they serve. Not sure if they changed Pitmasters but the food just doesn't seem to be the same anymore

Hi Matt, we appreciate your comments. We are constantly on the look for better quality meats and product. We have upgraded to a more expensive and better run product but our briskets and butts have been the same for several years. Our run recipe hasn't changed since day one. Always a great visit to Lockharts! We love the Lockharts special and the nachos appetizer (enough to share). Mac n cheese, sweet potato fries and green beans are a must! The staff is great, always accommodating. Food comes out quick, there's a good selection of Michigan beers as well. Two thumbs up all around.

Had ate there many times however was little disappointed yesterday our waiter was very slow, never came around had to flag another server down just to get a refill, had to flag the manager down to get out check so we could leave....food was amazing as always though
Excellent brisket! So much food I had to take some home. ��
Our reservation of 16 people was accomdated on a busy day and the staff and food were excellent, Rachel the hostess who took our RSVP and Stephanie our server rocked! If you haven't tried their brunch yet, you should!
Pulled pork is very good and the brisket. A little slow sometimes on service.
