Worst refinance experience ever. I read some reviews, both positive and negative, of Loan Depot before I proceeded with them. My mistake. They were first to call me back and I expressed my concern over their negative reviews. My loan officer convinced me that wouldn't be the case. He was quite wrong. They are a loan factory and go for quantity over quality. My jumbo refi took over 4 months to close. I initially just wanted to know what no cost rate they could lock me into. As a Retired Veteran I receive plenty of offers in the mail and on the phone to re finance my home for a lower rate. Loan Depot seemed to have the best offers for their service. I applied in May of 2016 and it is now November and they have bumbled there way with miss interpreted information, long processing wait times. Their internal offices DO NOT relay important information to other processing departments, which cause extra delays and numerous requests for the same information, over and over. my experience with this company has been a disaster! they don't tell you the truth about where you are in the process. they "duck and dodge" and delay, and come up with bogus requests for info... we wasted three month being jacked around by them. they have an air of manipulation and deceit in dealing with customers...and if all of that isn't enough...they never answer their phones!
