Near Perfect Deep Dish – Found this place on Divis about two years ago. located on the outerbounds of our neighborhood, we ventured in one Friday night. This is a very popular spot, and there is a long wait (40 minutes) to grab a table. Being from Chicago I know something about Deep Dish. This place makes a near perfect pizza. The only drawback was that the crust could be a bit firmer... The toppings are excellent and no flaw there!. We've been back numerous times but now get our Pizza to go... Price point for the pizzas her... read more

I'm Chicago-born and Raised – This pizza could be a lot better if they concentrated on making the crust stay firm during baking. The crust gets a little soggy and doesn't hold up well. The taste of the sauce is superior to other pizza places in the Bay Area that claim to be "Chicago style." The crust could also have a little more taste to it. It is ok, but could be better. The cheese and other ingredients they seem to have down. If they fix the crust to have a slightly better flavor and more rigidity, I'd rival this with som... read more

Great, Different, Thick Crust Pizza – This pizza is a different than other thick crust pizzas I have had. The thick, corn meal crust is crisp but not overly greasy. The sauce is the best I have ever tasted. They put the cheese under the sauce, but it works. Then all added toppings, go a top. Good salads, causal atmosphere, can be crowded at times. We have eaten in and enjoyed it, but also take out as it is a 10 minute walk for lucky us.

My favorite pizza place – This pizza place is pretty small, dimly lit, and cozy. The host told us that the wait was about 30 to 45 minutes. We didn't mind, because we had nothing else to do. The host let us pre-order while we wait for our seats. We finally sat at a table almost an hour later. The waitress was very pleasant. We ordered the 12 inch deep dish speciality classic pizza. The pizza came out pipping hot! It was soo good. When I first saw the pizza, I was like... euwh, it's full of tomatoes... where are the toppings?... read more

Not Bad At All – Almost perfect. Tasty crust. Delicious extras like sausage and olives. Not too much cheese. Flavorful, chunky sauce. The only thing wrong is it doesn't quite measure up to the heart-stopping size of the pizza at my favorite, Lou Malnati's in Chicao

decent pizza, expensive – The pizza was decent and toppings were fresh. Wine was pretty well-chosen, and service was relatively quick. Decent indie tunes too, and good location.

the stars are accurate – Hot dang, the ratings finally mesh with the actual quality on this site! Seriously good pizza, i was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the quality. Deep dish is hard to find, and good deep dish is even harder. The tomatoes used in the sauce are obviously vibrant and fresh. Good quality cheese and ingredients. The crust (as with all deep dish) was flaky and tasty. I will say the only minor gripe (this was very minor) about the taste was a hint of dried oregano or something in the crust, that was... read more
