Received a collections letter for a toll road fee on the other side of the country, in a state Ive never even visited, much less driven through. Tried to call numerous times and never get to speak to anyone. I highly doubt this is even legit or legal.
Literal frauds and scammers who sent me a payment demand for a traffic infraction in a state where I have never ever been. I demanded that they delete the payment demand, which they did; however, two years later, they sent the identical demand. Frauds and scammers and should be sent back to where they came from.
I received a collection letter for a red light violation that I didn't commit. This law firm seeks out people with the same name and sends out letters hoping they with freak out and pay it. What a scam! It was for a car not even similar to mine and 90 miles away. Don't fall for it! Get in contact with the supposed court to rectify.
This Colorado debt collection law firm sent me a "Second Notice" by mail. There was no first notice. I considered this "second notice" a red flag. The so-called "Second Notice" was sent to a name that is not mine, although it included a weird and incomplete permutation. The notice threatened me with debt collection for unpaid tolls in ********. As they presumably know (because they sent the first notice titled "Second Notice" to my home address); I no longer live in ********. I travel to ******** occasionally, but I was on a... read more
0 stars. A total ******** a threatening collection letter for unpaid tolls in a state I've never been to.Oh, and I don't own a car.Sloppy and shady.
Absolute scam. Received a notice of delinquent court fines for a state which I have not lived in in over 6 years. The case number cannot be found on the actual county court website and the letter gave no details about the fine, date of infraction, etc. Scam.
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience while trying to renew my car tag. After paying the required collection fee, I simply needed a confirmation sent to the tag office to clear the hold so I could renew my tag. However, two employees refused to email or fax the confirmation, forcing me to call back and speak with a manager to get something that should have been a simple request. This situation was completely unnecessary and added avoidable stress to the process. I did not receive a bill in the mail informing me o... read more
When you work for a collection agency, word of advice. When someone calls you about owing you *****, ***'t talk down to them, don't have an attitude to start with, it shows as you thinking you are better than I. You were rude. When I call you about paying a debt, being rude only cost you the payment in full. I contacted the court and paid in full. Ooops guess you didn't expect that! You need a bit of training on how to have phone etiquette , how to have respect for your caller.
Like so many complaints on here, I too received a "second letter" from the above law firm. I live 3 and a half hours from the toll road which I supposedly used at some point. It's impossible because it's a road I don't ever use. They also did not include the date of the supposed toll road usage, nor a copy of the first "letter" they supposedly sent, nor an image of my license plate going thru the toll road. My husband is a retired ** and will probably be giving them a call because there are all kinds of laws and regulations ... read more
