Good spa services fro men – My wife gave me a gift certificate for a Day's treatments and I enjoyed the massage, mani/pedi - great service by well-trained personable staff. My 61 yr old wife has been getting her facials for 15 yrs and people think she's in her early 40's, her skin is so clear, firm and line-free. She goes to Ala and Eugenia. Lia Schor is the best day spa in New York – Lia Schorr offers the best spa servies - at reasonable prices. Her employees are European trained - Tami, the best hair remaoval, Eugenia & Ala, best facials, Laura, best manicures and pedicures. The masseuses are all wonderful - the staff really cares about the patrons and give personalized attention. A wonderful experience – Welcomed warmly by Lia Schorr herself. Appointments on time. Environment is very luxurious and peaceful. The massage is one full hour and includes hot stone treatment, which is fabulous. I look forward to my monthly massage. My masseuse (Irene) is terrific.
Pedicure – I visited Lia Schorr during Spa Week 2006 and had a pedicure. I really needed one...you know how your feet can get after an entire winter of having them closed up. Well, the Pedicurist was nice and accommdating. She did a very good job. Now, I can put on my pretty sandals and walk around town feeling confident that my feet not only feel good but look good.
Best of the Best – The Lia Schorr spa is a wonderful experience. I have been getting treatments at the spa for over a year now and they are always very polite, courteous, and always very professional. I receive massages with Irene and she is wonderful! I am always, and I means always, looking forward to my next apointment for a very satisfying experience, no matter what it is, they do it the best!
Not a relaxing experience – I was pleased with the results of my facial, however, the experience at the spa leaves a lot to be desired. The place could use an update, Lia is not very pleasant to deal with and the aesthetician who did my facial made me feel insecure about my skin problems. The rooms are dumpy and you could hear Lia scolding the staff members the whole time I was there. Shocked! – I waited for 30 min for my facial during Spa Week. The person (whom turned out to be Lia herself) did my facial was so rude and rushed. She bascially slapped my face with her fingers and finished the cleaning in a min which followed by 20 more min steaming and waiting untill someone else had time to finish my facial. WHAT A RIPOFF! – After setting up a spa day for my family, I read the most recent reviews and was very nervous. I called and was promised by Lia a great day. This was the worst spa I've every been to! I cried during my entire massage because I knew my family and I were so unhappy with this place. I would NEVER go back there again. The place is a dump, the manicurists were unprofessional and my massage room was a converted closet. Excellent Quality at an Incredible Price! – I have been to many spas, all over New York: Manhattan, upstate NY, LI, as well as LA, Cape Cod, Chicago--- even Hawaii---You just can't beat this place! Extremely nurturing treatments in a quiet, understated setting; great, easy-to-get-to location; warm, caring, highly-experienced technicians. Lia herself is ever-present to make sure you have a perfect experience. And the price is fantastic! It's hard to believe you can get such a great deal in Manhattan!
