Amazing experience!!! – I went to Lia Schorr's spa for a massage and I felt so comfortable. The service was great! I had so many knots in my back and shoulders before I arrived at this Midtown oasis that I was practically bent over. After the masseuse spent a delightful 50 minutes working out the knots, I could finally stand straight and even my headache went away. I am definitely coming back to this amazing spa. So professional and the best massage I have ever had.
Great for teens – I took my 16 year old daughter for the Teen package (facial, mani, pedi and eyebrow) and she fell in love! Her skin is acne prone and the facialist new exactly how to treat her sensitive skin. A few days later, her acne was significantly improved. Bring your teenagers here, the knowledgeable staff will take very good care of them.
Great Spa – Seaweed Wrap and Body Scrub Usually before the summertime I prepare my body for sun exposure by treating myself to a package of six body wraps and six body scrubs at Lia Schorr Day Spa. Irine, who has been taking care of me for over 5 years has done so with great professionalism. She is one of the best masseuses I ever had. My body has transformed from dry and flaky to smooth and silky!! I even have this treatment done in the winter to keep from becoming itchy. Best Brazilian – I have a bikini wax every month throughout the year, but in June, July and August I change to Brazilian wax. Tammy is a great waxer, it?s totally painless with her and I am a pleased customer.
Great Spa, Great learning institution and Great owner – I am a currently a student at the Lia Schorr Institue and I must say, this school is one of the BEST schools for skin care. The instructors are VERY knowledgeable and helpful. Every one is always willing to help(student & instructors) each other. I have heard other students that have graduated say, the information they have learned is invaluable and would recommend this school to anyone looking to be properly educated in skin care. The Right Facial for a Pregnant Woman – I am an Asian female and my skin is thin and sensitive. Each time I have had a facial in the past it took weeks for my skin to heal. I was quite hesitant to get another facial and I stayed away for a few years. In the '90s, Lia Schorr was the queen of Gotham day spas- Well it's 2007 ....NEVER GO! – Citysearch gave it a five star review which is why I went. The editorial content is sooo wrong I question if the person who wrote it as ever been to this hole in the wall. From the moment I looked at the building I knew I should have turned back. Let ME set the record straight FOR REAL – The Lia Schorr Spa I experience is like most of the reviews written here - absolutely horrible, the other reviews are obviously written by friends or even herself.
