the Spa that will make your Year – I am not sure if the other reviewers actually went to the Lia Schorr Day Spa because my experience there was nothing but fabulous. My girlfriend made me get my back waxed, I know but what could I do. I have never been more scared - especially because I am not a huge fan of pain. The Worst – I signed up for a facial and a bikini wax in one afternoon. I have problem skin, so, of course I'm going to try to find facial treatments that will help me. It's a given that people with troubled skin go to spas to help them. And that spas are used to seeing people with troubled skin. FATHERS DAY SPECIAL – On Father's Day my children presented to me a special gift for a men's spa day which included a pedicure, seaweed facial, refloxology foot massgae and a body sport massage. Being an Executive CEO I had no time for this type of occassion but my children got very upset with me for not using it, so to make peace I finally made time for it. Teenage Facial – I got a gift certificate for a facial at The Lia Schorr Day Spa from my mom for my 16th birthday. I was always so afraid of facials but Alla my facialist who has worked for Lia for a very long time was so nice, sensitive and caring she took all my fears away and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this facial. Best Massage Ever!!!! – wow, wow, wow this lady who just wrote this review must have been in a bad mood. I also just bought a gift certificate for massage from Buy With Me and i was at the spa the same day this lady is complaining about, I don't know what she is talking about. Lousy Experience – Got a deal on BUY IT With Me, $45 fro a 50 minute massage but it wasnt worth even that much. What a disappointment. Granted I came late but the attitude was terrible, the great Lia Schorr was nasty and unprofessional. The massuese was sweet and well meaning except that she used gloves throughout the massage (a bit of OCD?) Very weird.All in all one of the worst spa experiences I have every had.
Institute of Skin Perfection!! – I am the kind of person that believes in quality over anything else. When i go get a facial , I am not there to relax ,I am there to get RESULTS !!!!!!As long as my esthetician does a good job ,thats all I care about . I like the way they do my extractions here and being that i have somewhat problem skin, being under the steam for at least 10-15 minutes is actually very beneficial for my skin ! Just thoughts I would share this with the haters below!
A GREAT LECTURE FOR SKIN & MAKEUP BY GILT CITY AT LIA SCHORR – Last Monday, Aug 7 I registered for a class for 2 hours that was sold & organized by gilt city. There were 14 girls including myself in the class. Lia Schorr herself gave a 30 minute lecture about skin care. The lady is beautiful, energetic, talented educated and really knows her craft of skin care. The Best facial for Skin Problems – I have tried many over the counter products in the past 10 years for my oily/active skin. The products would work for a short time but the problem always return. I have been under a dermatologists care for the past 5 years and his main conversation with me was " TAKE SOME PILLS TO CLEAR IT UP", BUT I REFUSED! I still went to him for help and nothing worked.
