A favorite local stop since 1952, this bakery, less than a mile outside Waikiki, is famous for its malasadas. These pastries are a local favorite, similar to doughnuts only without the holes. They're best eaten hot, leaden when cold. Another specialty is pao doce (Portuguese sweet bread). Danish pastries, cookies, breads and specialty wedding and birthday cakes are also available. This is take out only; there is no place to sit. Parking is available.

It was my first time. So thankful for the suggestion from a friend. The best I have had. We had a few left overs and gave them to street man. When we came back by later he saw us and said thanks again.
The best. Long line but fast service. I had the guava filled malasadas. Awesome!
I am not officially in Hawai'i till I take my first bite of a warm, sugary malasada.....on a bench in the parking lot.

It was good but next time I would probably only get one to eat. None for later tho. They are best when hot.
The best malasada (Portuguese donut) in Hawaii! Freshly made to order. Usually filled with Asian tourists because it's so famous. Go late on weekdays to find parking. It is a "must do" if visiting.
Deliciousness. Our first time here after several recommendations from friends. Will definitely return on our next visit to Hawaii.
This is a must stop for anyone visiting Oahu. By far, in my experience, the best Malasadas (Original), ever.
Really awesome pastries, glad we got to try it before leaving.
