A favorite local stop since 1952, this bakery, less than a mile outside Waikiki, is famous for its malasadas. These pastries are a local favorite, similar to doughnuts only without the holes. They're best eaten hot, leaden when cold. Another specialty is pao doce (Portuguese sweet bread). Danish pastries, cookies, breads and specialty wedding and birthday cakes are also available. This is take out only; there is no place to sit. Parking is available.

Been going here for many years. We would get out of the airport then straight to get our Malasadas fix first before checking in our hotel. It is a must first, middle and last day of our vacation. Breakfast, snacks, lunch and after dinner desserts. Yummy!!��
Highly recommend. Their Maladadas { Portuguese Donuts } filled and unfilled are really good. Plan when you go to wait in line and be patient, they’re worth the wait. They have other bakery goods. We also enjoyed the cookies.

Always the best “donuts” in Hawaii! Drove from Laie to Kapahulu cause when you want a Leonard’s malasada there is NO substitute.
