THE STORY OF LENNY’S: Family Owned and Operated for over 40 Years ​My father, Joseph DeCandia, was born in Bari, Italy and came to America in 1956 at the age of 18. He took odd jobs as a dishwasher, a baker and a butcher. In 1958 he took a job at “Lenny’s Pizza” in Brooklyn on 86th Street where he started to learn the pizza business. RecommendedWe started going to Lenny’s in 1974 when it opened. Every Friday night. We even had my wife’s bridal shower there. We moved away in 1981 but we go back whenever we’re in town and everything about it is as good as I remember. Love it !

I would definately ecommend the calamari with the cherry peppers. No to the clams casino, clams were tough and didn't taste great. stuffed mushrooms were bland stuffed only with bread crumbs. A definite yes to combo plates fried shrimp and scallops along with linguine were perfect. Tiramisu was excellent. Service was great and attentive. Sauce was great medium and hot. Parking, I would recommend dropping passengers off and park on other side of Crossbay on 161st.
