THE STORY OF LENNY’S: Family Owned and Operated for over 40 Years ​My father, Joseph DeCandia, was born in Bari, Italy and came to America in 1956 at the age of 18. He took odd jobs as a dishwasher, a baker and a butcher. In 1958 he took a job at “Lenny’s Pizza” in Brooklyn on 86th Street where he started to learn the pizza business. Amazing snow crabs legs, clams, and pasta. My first time here but will definitely be back. One of my new favorite places!
1. cook freash food vs precooked frozen... 2. cook food all the way instead of serving raw 3. close the lids on sauses all the way 4.seafood always served with lemon that includes uncooked calamari all food went into garbage... should have brought it back and feed it to who ever cooked it.... discussingly pissed off

When I go back to the old neighborhood I always have to stop by Lenny’s Clam Bar. It brings back a lot of great memories being there with my dad and brother. We really enjoyed everything we had and really enjoyed going out for dinner after being locked up in quarantine!! We had the ribs, an order of large shrimp, linguini with clams, some ne clam chowder and sangria. All delicious as always. Thanks Joe and Co.!!
