THE STORY OF LENNY’S: Family Owned and Operated for over 40 Years ​My father, Joseph DeCandia, was born in Bari, Italy and came to America in 1956 at the age of 18. He took odd jobs as a dishwasher, a baker and a butcher. In 1958 he took a job at “Lenny’s Pizza” in Brooklyn on 86th Street where he started to learn the pizza business. When I called on Tuesday to order both packages for curb side pick up for Thursday afternoon I was informed by the owner, Joe that they cannot accommodate these orders. We are doing everything we can under the current circumstances to offer special discounts for our customers on a daily basis, but we cannot provide the same prices on a holiday, when our kitchen is already overwhelmed with orders.
