My daughter was discharged today from pediatric impatient unit.. Ped Er and ped unit were excellent, professional, and nice!
Had a fabulous experience, the ER nurse practitioner Nicole was absolutely fantastic with my daughter to the point of which she would put her arms out for Nicole to hold her every time she came in the room. She also had noticed I was in the ER since early morning and brought me sandwiches and pretzels while we were waiting to be admitted in the later afternoon.Once we were admitted the entire nursing staff in the pediatric floor was just outstanding. On December 12 before noon, my family took me to the ER. Two check-in nurses were arrogant and dismissive of my compromised breathing condition; and acted as if they were not just "doctors, but were specialists who were initially assessing me." Then as I waited for 3 long hours in the waiting area as I was still struggling to breathe from severe congestion, the one looked to my grown daughter and said, "well she has a head cold and she can't expect to breathe if she has a head cold." Well if your child is emitted into the hospital have a wristband so they don't have to go down every day and get a visitors wristband just like they do with the newborns. An if the parent is in a wheelchair then u should put them in a handicap room with their child if the child is being admitted. Because the furniture that you have in the room for us to sleep on is horrible they sit too low and you not able to get out of them a bed would be nice so you wouldn't have to sleep in your wheelchair the whole time that your child ... read more
