After my first visit I’d give it five stars. Convenient for stopping off the interstate. Brewed black coffee is very good (but my family is enjoying scones and cocoa). Nice mellow music, friendly service and warm charming atmosphere with a variety of seating. We’ll be back on trips through Grand Rapids.
There are lots of coffee shops in Grand Rapids, Lantern is definitely on the top of my list. The warm welcoming atmosphere and baristas make this place cozy and a true destination.

Such an adorable place. I love sitting upstairs and working on homework and watching the people and cars pass by. The atmosphere keeps me coming back! (And so do the lattes)
Love visiting here every time we visit Grand Rapids. Friendly staff, great coffee, and an awesome atmosphere.
I can't speak to their coffee, but their tea selections and blends are fantastic, as are their baked goods. Great atmosphere, too.
Legit coffee beans used, Calder's milk used which is a local farm, non-homogenized milk with a low 140F pausterize process to keep good enzymes in. So a capuccino is creamy and delicious. Great variety of drinks combination offered. Atmosphere of quite Pub is excellent.
