Had our first little babe here three months ago and I cannot tell you how wonderful the staff on the Labor and Delivery floor were! We also loved our midwife Laura Zaugg and the OBGYN, Dr. Porter, who had to help get our little gal here in a crunch! This smaller community hospital ensures you gets lots of time and attention without compromising on care. We love Lakeview!

This is the worst hospital in the state. They move patients from room to room without notifying loved ones and the ER never looks at the full records of patients coming in (non emergency patients) to see what has been done in the past and if the medication they are giving is going to cause an issue or not.

No sense of privacy. Was nude in room with doctor and nurses kept coming in and leaving the door wide open. Had to make my GF stand in front of the door. Doctor was more concerned about being my “bro” instead of a medical professional. Horrible experience. Had to call a second doctor to explain why I was taking medication cause the first doctors answer was “you want to feel better right?”

I used to be so happy that I could go to the ER at Lakeview and was treated with respect. However, as my migraines increased in frequency and severity I began to feel like they viewed me as a drug seeker. I can't afford health insurance and don't qualify for medicaid. (Even if I could get medicaid, it doesn't cover a specialist such as a neurologist.) They told me they would no longer administer the medications that they had been for any future visits. Now I feel as if I have nowhere to turn for help or relief. I understand ... read more

You and family should be very involved with your stay, especially diagnosis. She was rushed to ER after what appeared to be a stroke, had a CAT scan , and the neurological ruled it out as a stroke. She was admitted, doctors did routine tests including IBS, infections, UTI. By the third day, they were perplex, could not figure it out, and we were wondering what was next. Where would she go...Finally the doctor thought to do an MRI... sure enough, it was a stroke. In my experience out of state, CAT and MRI are more than likely... read more
