I purchased my solar panels in 2020 and have not had any issues until recently. I received the below email on Oct 3, 2022. "I checked your system and found out that 1 microinverter is not reporting. I ordered a new part from the manufacturer, and it will be delivered to your home. Once you receive it please let me know, so we can schedule the replacement." I wish I had read the recent reviews before going with this terribly run company. My feelings and experience echo everything all the other 1 star reviews are saying about everything from lack of accountability to zero communication. For my story, I paid them to install the panels 8 weeks ago. During installation, I found out they changed the design significantly without my approval and without even the courtesy of informing me. My solar project is now over 9 months old and still not completed. LA Solar has failed 4 building inspections in a row on my project and still no sign of it being completed/resolved. Total lack of communication, you can not speak directly to a contact and yet they send out notices asking you how the monitoring is going? On a system that is not even connected? Terrible experience, do not use this company.
I have been "working" with LA Solar since 2019. They installed my solar panels, roof, and powerwalls. I am writing this review in the hopes of preventing others from making the same mistake as me and using this company in any capacity. I have never worked with more a more inept, disorganized, careless, and poorly run company in my life. Every encounter is with a new crew that says the last crew didn't install something right. I signed with LA Solar in February 2022. It's been months now and they still haven't installed the panels. The panels have been sitting in my driveway for weeks now. This was their text to me, "The scheduling department is working on the schedule and will provide you with the accurate date to begin the installation on Monday". That never happened. This is an update to my review of 11/12/2021. I finally passed ********** and my system was turned on a few months ago. I also received my rebate check from SCE as promised. A few weeks ago while I was out of town, I received an email from SCE that my area lost power . I immediately accessed my Enlighten app and was pleasantly surprised to see that all wireless apps ( alarm, ring, thermostat, etc ) were up and running!! La Solar did a great job installing my powerwalls. They even did all the rebate paperwork.
I signed a contract with LA Solar in August 2021 to install a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery to complement my existing PV panels. The salesman assured me that they would receive sufficient materials and equipment to have my battery installed and operational by February 2022. Three weeks into February, I am out over $1000.00 for design fees/deposits and there is still no sign of any work completed or scheduled. The communications with the firm are horrific.
