I'm a buyer's agent in San Diego, CA. House we entered escrow on October 5, 2021 had LA Solar panels. After we received the lease terms and everything else, come to find out the solar panels were installed originally on October 10, 2020 (a whole year prior), and were never activated. I signed up for solar panels and three Enphase batteries/ power walls. To date, I have failed 4 inspections after two amended plans. At this point, they do not return emails or calls. However, they call asking for final payment! Their employees do not always speak English and in my experience reply " I do electrical work" when asked if they are licensed electricians. LA Solar Group installed my solar system in 2017 and they check in with me every so often to see if everything is still working as expected. A few weeks ago, they detected that the cellular unit that transferred the data from my house to their servers was failing. Today one of their technicians came by and repaired it all for FREE! Nice guy, very professional who explained everything he was doing. It took only took few minutes to do and I was back online.

LA Solar installed my complete solar system and recently I purchased an additional Tesla battery from them. We did have a few problems with the hardware, but LA Solar was very helpful and their administrative staff and technicians are first rate. They responded in a timely manner and followed up on fixing any technical problems. I highly recommend them for solar installation and services.

I would 100% steer clear of this company. signed up with them to get a powder wall installed 10/2020 they have been promising to install a power wall for almost a year. i have multiple neighbors that started this same process around the same time or after and they have all had their powder walls completed by other companies do not expect any kind of service as they they cannot even give a clear start date and now saying they have no idea when they will have materials. i should have checked the BBB rating before signing up wi... read more

It has been a nightmare to try and get my roof top solar project finished. They have failed 5 different time with the county inspectors. Incompetent workers and office staff that won't take responsibility. Avoid like the plague.
LA Solar has been the worst experience I have ever had They left about half a dozen panels to be installed, and said they would finish "next week" .That was three weeks ago. Nobody answers any of their phones.
I have been working with LA Solar (I.E. Bay Solar Group) for the last 7 months on the installation of a battery backup system for which they have collected $35,500 from me. I still do not have PTO from PGE after the installed system failed their inspection last month. The system installed did not follow the design plan we agreed upon, and correcting this problem has been ****.
