You're not likely to stumble across this romantic Italian restaurant accidentally since it's secluded on a residential street. But once you try something from the menu and you'll have the answer as to why the crowds pack this place. With a variety of gourmet pizzas, braised meats and flavorful pasta dishes, La Rustica is a culinary hot-spot. The view of Puget Sound from the front windows is also spectacular and only adds to the dining experience.

First time! Fantastic food! – Friends have been telling me to go for ages so we finally made it down to the beach to try this place. I'm so glad we did. The food was outstanding!! I read a few reviews that said the food was salty, I didn't think so, I thought it was Flavorful! I had the pork ribs in a red wine tomato sauce served with polenta. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone. I've never tasted anything like it! Very savory and tangy too. The meal was served with their "house bread" that should be banned by the FD... read more
great find! – one of the best kept secrets of seattle....yet i go during the week when it is not busy, loud or crowded. the lamb shank is excellent....i think their romaine salads are very weak. the gnocchi and other pasta dishes are excellent and the ambiance is romantic. be choosy on what night you go and what you order....
Good and Bad... – The location with the view is gorgeous even though the blinds are down to block the blinding sunlight. They lost our reservations and the party's after us, fortunately we were there (at 5:15 pm) before their peak hours so we were seated right away. The atmosphere is authentically charming and though small, is surprisingly comfortable. The owner is friendly and made an effort to treat us well, yet his staff/daughter had some attitude. Our food was SALTY as the other reviews mentioned. I had the Risotto e Gam... read more
Not good – Worst service that myself and 4 guests have ever received. The owner was hostile and displayed very rude manners. Food was mediocre. The restroom was not clean. Will not ever return.
Nothing Special – Spend your evening somewhere else. My husband and I dined there last night. The tables are packed in and it's noisy. Despite their requests on menus to be respectful of waiting customers (i.e. be quick), we weren't served anything to drink for 30 minutes. When our waitress finally arrived, she was very friendly. Our top two wine selections were out of stock. Our caesar salads were very mediocre. The wild boar lasagne was very good, but the gnocchi was nothing special. The potential view was blocked by blind... read more
Amazing food Amazing service – After reading reviews on la rustica my wife and i decided to try it out ourselves. I have read many things about the food being to salty. After trying the food i would whole heartdly disagree. The food is amazing and the service is amazing. Yes the food is salted for you, so put down those salt shakers and enjoy.
I love this place – La Rustica is a fabulous restaurant that we discovered about a year ago! My husband and I go there for their amazing entrees. Even the dinner bread is fantastic and tasty! I highly recommend trying this place out but prepared to wait a bit-they don't take reservations. There is a tiny wine bar adjacent to the main house that you can wait in. The seating is romantic and comfortably close! Highly recommended!!!!!
Great neighborhood spot! – The food is the real draw here folks. Lots of Flavor. The bread sticks are to die for! They are crisp AND gooey and sinful. We did have to wait for about 15 minutes so we had cocktails in the cozy little bar while we waited and snuggled in with some other folks. I had pork loin. It was a very generous portion and came with pasta and marinated veggies- tasty! My wife had cioppino. I have to admit I was a little jealous. It was over flowing with mussels and crab and clams and it also had salmon- all ... read more
You can do better – Waiting in the faux rustic broom closet for 40 minutes was almost quaint (no reservations for parties under 6). We dealt with the arctic winds while the manager held the front door open to greet new arrivals at our "special" birthday table 6 inches from the front door. We were congenial during the 25 minute period between receiving our menus and placing our order. Unfortunately, it wasn't until the bill arrived that we realized we'd made a mistake. They had the nerve to charge an obscene $20 cork fee with... read more
