Wonderful Hidden Italian Restaurant – I have had the pleasure of dining at La Rustica several times. It is truly one of the hidden treasures of Seattle. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is nice, but cramped. It is a little off the beaten path on Beach Drive in West Seattle, but well worth the drive.
Simply Devine in Seattle – We are an absolutely devouted La Rustica loving couple. Take our advice, we've traveled everywhere, this is true, wonderfull Italian. The service is consistently the among the best I've ever known. Small proprietership that concentrates on the details. My wife and I fall in love again, everytime we go.
I love this Place!!!!!!!! – La Rustica is probably the best italian restaurant in Seattle. But its kind of a secret. I dunno, I never see any advertising yet they are packed all the time. I bring my friends there often especially when i have friends from out of town and I see people there that I've seen before. Is cool. Ambience is everything – As if the incredible authentic food were not enough, the charn of this romantic low lit little house is incredible. Highly recommend it...and we are from way out of town, Alaska. Never miss it on a trip to Seattle.
Romantic and tasty – I've eaten at La Rustica many times. The food is always wonderful there. The atmosphere is very cozy. During busy periods, it can be a bit noisy and the service can suffer. However, the service is also very nice and well informed and the food is terrific!
Beautiful View and Great Meals – La Rustica is a cozy, rustic restaurant near the west shore of Alki beach. From the flowered-covered patio, views of the water enhance its rustic appeal, but diners will also appreciate the coziness inside. Meals can sometimes be very rich (I tend to avoid ones with cream-sauce), but their ingredients are fresh and the everything on the menu is reliably good. They serve excellent appetizers and desserts.
Going Downhill – This used to be one of our favority "go-to" restaurants, but the food and service has been rapidly going downhill the past year. The food is now way below average and inconsistent (lacks real flavor), and the service is terrible (used to be a lot better). We spent a lot of time waiting for our food, and drink refills. The bread was cold and hard and service even colder. We've given it 3 chances the past 8 months or so, and each time it gets worse...we're never going back. Overall this is bad value!
Bad Service! – The only redeeming quality was the setting. The house bread was okay, but the dinner salad was terrible. After an hour and a half without so much as a drink refill, we left before our dinner had been served. The waitress was unapologetic and annoyed when we asked for a bill for our salads and drinks.
The best – Great place. Family owned and run. Wait staff are very knowledgable about the wine list which is very good Italian vintages. The food is always the same - superb. An uptown restaraunt in a West Seattle/Alki waterfront atmosphere.
