I would like to call attention to bias and possible discriminatory practices at LA Fitness, in at least two locations, in **********, ********** and ***********, **********. I visited both locations on behalf of my elderly parents, to enquire about possible membership. My father who is 87 has mobility issues and uses a wheelchair, and his caregiver is my mother, who is 81. I described my parents' needs to use/access a unisex bathroom to change and shower. At first, they seem very nice, but do not provide clear explanations as to what they are charging. on 9/18, I signed up for a membership. I agreed to pay a sign up fee, plus first and last month. I was told I have no contract and that moving forward, I would only be charged my monthly fee until I decided to stop paying. Two weeks into my membership, I was charged an annual fee, for a membership I had just started. I am still waiting to hear back from them. Called three times, no manager was available. Since I joined LA Fitness in *************, **, I have been very disappointed in the upkeep of the equipment and facility. The whirlpool was out of commission for months and the sauna is currently not operational. They keep moving the date the repair is to be completed. It has been months. Currently a leg machine is "scheduled for service" and a water vending machine is "out of order". Not long ago, the water fountain was not functioning. Zero stars!!! DECEPTION AND NEGLECT!!!I signed up for **************** services. After two weeks, the trainer missed two appointments and I found out he was fired. No other trainer was available for the days/times I had requested. I requested cancellation and was assured that it would be taken care of but am still getting charged monthly fees

I had signed up for a Personal Trainer (**********, ** location), after 2 sessions the trainer quit. When asked about a new trainer I was told no trainer was available for the day I had requested. After requesting to refund my account, less the two sessions I had they refused even though they could not provide the service the agreed too. I have been a member of LA Fitness since they opened in *************. In 2021 I decided to cancel membership. Spoke to someone at gym they cancelled membership. But I was still getting charged. Spoke to someone on phone. They looked at account and said it had not been closed by suspended. So I asked them to close it. This happened several times. Lost $800 in 30 days with esporta in ********. They told me I can sign up for personal training for $65 bucks and cancel anytime. I tried personal training for a month and it was rushed and trainer did not ask me any questions. I tried to cancel personal training and they said I signed up for a yearly contract so I have to pay $740 and that each month of training is $165. Um what???? This was not explained to me. I tried to tell them it was a misunderstand with but they were ruthless. I left the gym crying.
