Signed up for what I was lead to believe was 8 workout sessions towards the end of the paperwork I saw $4,000 and told him I was not purchasing this . He said I didn’t have to pay for it it could be frozen I said that is not what I am pitching he said . You don’t have to pay it nobody does I’ll just freeze it your fine. He never printed out anything for me to review I just put my initials on a electronic pad. utter ******** cancellation policy. i called for my mother and they said she had to come in and cancel and to do that before 6 pm because the manager leaves at that time. yet , when she shows up they tell her that they can’t close the account because the manager is on vacation for a week. such dishonest practices and diversionary tactics make me never want to use this again. moreover, my mom is a older lady who can barely speak english and you want to take advantage?! truly despicable

Horrible experience with canceling my LA fitness membership! I was a member for 6 years and due to COVID I no longer felt safe going to the gym. They have made it really hard to cancel my membership. I felt they’ve purposely played so many games to make it difficult to cancel my membership. It’s been a year process of trying to cancel my membership. offered to freeze my account for free due to COVID and but they still charged me a freezing fee. Weights are not re-racked and are left all over the gym. DBs are left all over the gym and are not put back in the proper location. One day I came into the gym to get a workout in and there was a personal trainer working with a client who did not have her mask on her face. So I took my mask off and threw it on the ground to see what he would say. The personal trainer told me to put my mask on and didn't say anything to his client. I joined a new location right before COVID hit. I optimistically signed up for personal training thinking it would improve my fitness. etc. I had a few sessions (lesson than 5) and then: COVID-19. During the few months following the start of the global pandemic I was in touch with a representative via email (no locations were physically fielding phone calls). I want to complaint about an employee at this location by the name of Michael who bullied and made fun of a special Need kid , I understand that hey is Asshole in this world we living but for him to be an employee to make fun and bully a special need costumer who is paying for his membership is a shame and should not happen... I approached him and he seems not to care then I went to his manager who I didn’t get the name but he seem nonchalant. Horrible ppl working there ..

This place is disgraceful!! The Austell location has been without stair climbers for a year now! Have of the treadmills work and the screens on the ecliptic machines don't work. To add insult to jury...the can't fix their broken clocks. I have talked to management, called corporate and absolutely nothing gets done but excuses about parts someday coming. This gym is ghetto and needs to be thoroughly inspected. For clarification, this is the LA Fitness in Austell, GA.....absolutely unacceptable!!! Passed on Atlanta! *****

My account is frozen for a reason. COVID is not under control and it’s impossible to workout with a mask. Besides that ... they’re NOT offering group classes options as before — so why are members being to “unfreeze” their account when someone doesn’t feel safe to return AND they’re not getting what was offered before COVID due to pandemic? I’ve contacted the Tarzana gym via email twice ... and have yet to hear back from them. Truly frustrating.
