Close for a day to clean – I enjoy the restaurant for a beverage. I have to say, no wonder it is kept very dark in La Dolce Vita. The place could really use a good scrubbing from top to bottom, as could some of the staff and management. I found the food okay, not rave worthy and find the orange plastic chairs in the summer, a bit pitiful, when all other restaurants up and down Mayfield, invest in their outdoor furniture. Correction To the Review Below – I would just like to make it known that La Dolce Vita is in fact open at one on Friday 6/30/06 which is two hours before the Italy game. Therefore the comment below should be completely disregarded. Furthermore, if in fact they were not open for the game that in no way makes the restaurant "inauthentically Italian," if anything I would imagine that the restaurant be closed so the employees can also enjoy the game. Must Visit – The atosphere is unlike anything you will experience in Cleveland. Has a definate European flavor and feel. When you go there, forget about going somewhere else afterward - you will get caught up in everything and end up making this place the one place you go that night. La Dolce Vita is by far the best restaurant in Cleveland's Little Italy. The food is excellent, and the daily specials are not only tasty, but exotic, with what is more of a Mediterannean feel than simply just Italian. The service here is second to none, and the atmosphere is one of a kind. Enjoy!
I would recommend this restaurant! – We were greeted by a very nice staff who gave us personal attention, including the owner. The food was delicious, as was the wine. And, it was much more affordable than I expected.
