The food was very good and we will be back. I had the Veal Chop special and it was excellent. My wife had the Chicken Parm with cavtelli and it was very good...pasta al dente just like it should be! The tomatoes the owner (Terry Tarantino)brought s were excellent...he takes great pride in his tomatoes and the bruschetta and the caprese were both excellent. La Dolce Vita is a consistent winner. The food is always good, the staff is always friendly and competent. Still our "go-to" restaurant in Little Italy.
Each time I visit my parents, we have to go to La Dolce Vita because they treat it as a special occasion. This is one of the few restaurants in the area that are my family's favorites, and it is consistently good. The food has always been consistent, which is what my parents rave about. Great time had by all! – My parents brought me here when I came to visit them because they know how much I love Italian food, or should I say fine Italian dining. This was perfect for what I was in the mood for and I can't tell you how much I loved this place. My parents love jazz and so I guess I got my love for jazz from them, and listing to live jazz was perfect for all of us. Wonderful – I searched online before going to La Dolce Vita because I wanted to find a "new fave". Some of the reviews I completely disagree with, and others I am in total agreement. I would rate this food five stars. The service, the ambiance, and everything about this place should be rated five stars across the board. I really enjoyed myself, loved the food, and will definitely be back for more again and again in the future.
Great Food – We are very enthusiastic about all the different regions in Italy and how their food varies. When we find a good Italian restaurant, our term "good" actually means the best around and all other Italian restaurants in the area fail in comparison. This place is really, really, good and if you're trying new restaurants, it is definitely recommended if you like good Italian food. I'm not talking about borderline, like some chain restaurants, I'm talking wonderfuly authentic.
