A dining EXPERIENCE! – A must in Boston's North End! We weren't sure what to expect at first but once the lights went down and Luigi came out singing we knew we were in for a special Italian treat! The food was unbelievable - veal chop was to die for - the service was fabulous and Luigi made the dining quit an experience. You really can't go wrong in the North End except if you don't try Dolce Vita!

Very Upset – On 2 Occasions my group was not seated promptly(45+ min wait) and we had made reservations. After the first time I thought it was just bad circumstances but then the second time we gave up after 45 min and went accross the street to Lucca's and had a great meal and were seated immediatly with no reservation. I would rank their food above Dolce Vita's and their service easily tops Dolce Vita's.

Dolce Vita with group – What a disappointment this restaurant was. The food was fine but we were actually told "we're not going to offer you coffee and dessert" by the owner, Franco, as we were asked to vacate our table for 12 after the main course. We had made plans 2 months in advance and found out at least 5 other families had made the same plans with similar family groups....all to eat at the same time. Isn't that what reservations are for....to plan out the evening's customers? They sat us down 40 minutes late and then ... read more

Great Food Good Time – My wife and I went to Dolce Vita while in Boston celebrating our anniversary. The food was outstanding! I had a stuffed veal chop that I could barely finish and the waitress suggested a shrimp & lobster pasta dish for my wife that wasn't even on the menu. Everything from antipasto to espresso was excellent. The only concern was that they were a little disorganized at the door. There was no host/hostess keeping track of who was next and despite making a reservation it seemed to be 1st come 1st served.

A North End Must – If you're going to the North End, a stop at Dolce Vita is a must. Try the bruschetta, give in to the specials, and don't be afraid to ask if you don't see it on the menu!

Dolce Vita Restaurant is #1 – There is no way that a national chain, Olive Garden, could be #6 on the list and Dolce Vita is #10. Dolce Vita should definitely be in the top three. The best meals of my life have been eaten at Dolce Vita. The fresh food, incredible service and wonderful ambiance are unmatched in the North End. Boston's extensive Irish population must have voted for Olive Garden.

they have a tableside guitar player! – This place is truly Italian and truly good! The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. However, the reservation process did not work too well for me. I had a 7:30 reservation and was not seated until just before 8pm on a Friday night.

absolutely perfect – I discovered this restaurant through this very site and decided to make reservations because of all the previous comments. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and we couldn't have had a better experience. From the Owner himself greeting and seating us, to the wait staff, to the incredible food, wine selection, ambience, price, it was perfect. I highly recommend it! The lobster ravioli...and Tuscan Chianti...fantastic!
