Trust me. – I've eaten a lot of burritos in Portland, but none compares to this place. I eat there once a week at least.
Good only if you want fast food mexican – I am very sad for those who think this is authentic mexican. We went here, expecting more of a restaurant atmosphere - not fast food - mexican rap playing on the TV and dark chicken used in the dishes with ALOT of nuggets in it! How disappointing! The only way I'd go back is after a night of drinking and it may taste more like authentic mexican then! The only pro is that it is extremely cheap. But, ususally, there is a reason why it's cheap! We have given up trying to find any decent... read more
How can you not love this place! – We actually go to the newer location in Sellwood on Milwaukie just a block and a half North of Tacoma. This one has been open about a year and is run by the same family. I grew up in northern CA and spent some time in San Diego and I find their food to definitely be above par to many of the places I have been. My husband grew up in Pasco, WA where the taco trucks abound and he is really picky, and we LOVE La Sirenita. Usually when the ambience is good the food is lacking as far as mexican g... read more
REALLY TASTY FOR CHEAP – In many ways, this may be the best Mexican food in Portland. Try the Big Burrito (especially the chicken). It's tough to stop eating.
The Real Deal – Authentic, sonora style taqueria. Hands down best tacos in town. If you want the real-deal, this is the place. If you like Taco Bell, you'll be very disappointed.
NOT RECOMMENDED – 8 months ago you could expect a waiting line out the door. This evening at 6:30pm, there were two people besides me. The place appeared run down, dirty. Tables not cleaned. The woman at the register kept playing with her hair and refused to acknowledge the guy in front of me. One look over the side counter and into the kitchen told me to - run - not walk!!!
A steady stream of taco lovers flock to this taqueria for some of Portland's most authentic Mexican food. – The Scene Don't let the plastic mermaids and bare-bones interior fool you--this place is authentic through and through. Vegetarians beware: This is a meat-lover's den and the menu of carne asada, marinated pork, tongue and chorizo sausage reflects it. The Food This family-run establishment brings its recipes to life with spice and flavor, making return customers out of just about everyone. Tacos served on warm corn tor... read more
Open yer own can of beans – I wouldn't normally be inspired to spend time writing a negative review, but, given its mediocrity, this place gets way too many good reviews to remain silent. And my review won't even be very specific because this restaurant just doesn't deserve it. Having lived in Texas and California, I can safely tell you that La Sirenita is uninspired and bland. Stay at home and make better burritos yourself.
This place rocks! – I'm only telling you about this place because I no longer live in Portland, so I don't have to worry about standing in line when everyone finds out about this place! Excellent home-cooked Mexican food, and super cheap. My best friend and I could split the carne asada and both get stuffed for under $10. This place is completely without frills- don't expect any linen table cloths here!
La Bonita has no reviews yet.
La Bonita is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
