Dr. C and his team took the utmost care in preparing me for my total knee replacement and I couldn't be happier with the results. I rode my bicycle 1.8 miles today. Knee bends good for TKR 39 days ago! Can't thank him enough for fixing me :)
Excellent communication about procedures and what is to be expected.
For years I endured severe arthritis and constant pain in my hip. In 2017 a doctor convinced me I was close to being a wheelchair cripple. This persuaded me to try a hip replacement at my age of 89. My research in the anterior approach led me to UCSD and Dr. Cidambi. I met with him twice finding him to be honest, direct, and knowledgable. I climbed the stairs in my two story home the day I was released. By the end of the first month I had full use of the leg with zero pain.
I wanted to thank Dr. Krishna Cidambi for fixing my chronic hip pain and for the great care I received from the staff at UCSD. Dr. Cidambi showed his professionalism, innovativeness, and thoroughness in explaining my condition [hip dysplasia] at a level that my husband and I could understand. I am a 54 year old female and was in so much pain. I did not know how I could live out my days being in constant pain and discomfort. I feel so much better now.
It is almost two day since I underwent a complete hip replacement. Thanks to the great skills of Doctor Cidambi, I have been home for over a day. His bed side visits (Pre & Post) were thoughtful, informative and very comforting. I should add that he shared this respectful demeanor with the great staff that attended to me. As expected the staff, to a person, gave him High accolades 'for bed side manner, communication and surgical skills. Although unavailable, he deserves a six star rating.
Dr. Cidambi performed my total hip replacement via the anterior approach in March 2018. He took the time needed to clearly explain the procedure and likely risks and benefits pre-surgery. The result of my surgery exceeded my expectations resulting in a complete absence of joint pain and full range of motion. The result of this surgery simply could not have been better.
Dr. Cidambi is young, but by all account talented. However, in my experience younger doctors tend to be more cautious and rigid in their approach to patient care. Dr. Cidambi demonstrates those qualities, but for fair reasons. Experience often softens these attributes, and Dr. Cidambi has the makings of a great doctor. He will handle your care with great skill, but a conservative approach.
If you want a doc that cares for the patient and not just the surgery this probably isnt your guy.
